About the course:

This 5-day course is an ideal training for people who has entered vibration measurement of rotating equipment and has gained some experience in collecting vibration data and analysis, and those who want to grow in Predictive Maintenance / Condition Monitoring programs.

The course is in accordance with ISO 18436-2 Requirements for Certification. Individuals certified to Category II can perform machinery vibration measurements and basic vibration analysis. Trainees in VA Cat. II course review all the knowledge and skills of VA Cat. I, and will learn to:
  • select the appropriate machinery vibration measurement technique.

  • set up instruments and select proper parameters (Fmax, resolution, averages, overlap, …)

  • identify equipment and their operational characteristics.

  • perform basic vibration analysis of machinery such as fans, pumps, compressors, and gearboxes.

  • maintain a database of results and trends.

  • perform basic impact tests to determine natural frequencies.
